Using Edcite to Make Interactive Science Quizzes: Extending Beyond the Multiple Choice Paper Exam
This tutorial will guide learners to create interactive science quizzes using the webbased program Edcite. Prior to the training session, trainees will need to have gone to Edcite.com and created a teacher account and create a class. Additionally, trainees will need to have their district approved science curriculum as well as a print-out of both Science and Language arts standards. :
Objectives
By the end of the training, trainees will be able to:
Log-in and create at least one interactive web-based science exam using the web 2.0 tool, Edcite.com
Using district approved science curriculum and state science standards, trainees will develop 2 different question types using Edcite.com
Step 1: Creating a Question
Roll over the tab Questions, located in the green bar at the top and select Create New Question.

Under Touch Query post a question as to what part of the image you want students to identify. Repeat process for three different portions of the image.
Click Outline Touch Area. Using the mouse, trace the part of the image you want students to identify. Repeat process for three different portions of the image.
Give the question a name and then select save
Question can be retrieved from the Question tab under “My Questions”
