What is Voice Thread?

Voice Thread is a human way to connect to your students via the educational technology you are utilizing in your classroom. It is a collaborative, multimedia slide show that holds images, documents, and videos and allows people to navigate pages and leave comments in 5 ways - using voice (with a mic or telephone), text, audio file, or video (via a webcam).

Objectives

• Upon completion of the tutorial, teachers will create a Voice Thread using an image and commentary.
• Upon completion of the tutorial, teachers will utilize a Voice Thread to explain orally and in writing how to solve a mathematics problem.

Creating Account:

1. Go to Voice Thread
2. Click "Register Account"
3. Type Information
   
4. Verify the Account

Creating Visual:

1. Create a Voice Thread
   
2. Click "Add Media (1)" and then "URL (2)"

Creating Commentary:

1. Click on "Comment"
   
2. Select a tool (text, audio, video) to add commentary to the file.

Sharing:

1. Click on "Share"
   
2. Click on "Who has access (1)," then change Privacy Settings to "Anyone can view (2)." Save changes (3)
   
3. Share by copying link, getting embeded code, or posting it to social media.
